North Franklin FCU

This project consisted of an addition to an existing credit union as well as renovations to the existing building. The addition was 1-story with a basement and approximately 6300 SF in size. The roof structure was comprised on pre-engineered wood roof trusses supported by wood stud load bearing walls or CMU load bearing walls. The first floor structure was comprised of a concrete slab on metal deck supported by steel joists and beams. The foundation system was a shallow system with spread and wall footings.

This building is located in Malone, NY. This location is in a seismic region and has a significant ground snow load requirement. KSS provided a design that effectively dealt with these challenges while providing at the same time a cost effective construction system.
