Sue Grant, PE
SENIOR LEVEL PROJECT ENGINEER
Sue joined us February 11, 2013 and has over 25 years of engineering experience. She enjoys the unique challenges of smaller, non-traditional projects working with specialty buildings and components, as well as forensic and disaster restoration projects. She also enjoys working on single and multi-family residential projects, as well as retail, restaurant and other mid-size commercial projects. She is experienced in wood, steel, and concrete construction, and has worked with specialty metals and other materials as used in specialty building components.
Sue enjoys meeting and interacting with owners, architects, and contractors involved in the building process to help achieve the intended results, and enjoys it when she is able to see the finished product in use.
Favorite buildings include Sewickley Academy Alumni Gym, UPMC Specialty Care Center, Keystone Shooting Range, Clairton Inn Apartments and Lawrenceville Lofts Apartments. Favorite specialty projects include Apple Logo support, supporting structure for the Hill District’s Curtain Call Panorama display, and support for a ceiling mounted sculpture at Pittsburgh International Airport.
When not lending her talents here, Sue likes to spend time with her 3 children and 7 grandchildren. She enjoys music, camping and traveling, and hopes to one day take an extended trip to visit state parks in the western states.
