Expert Witness Project - Ex. 1

KSS was hired to investigate a residential structure. Our client was concerned that the floor structure was "extremely bouncy" and he was worried that some type of structural issue was present.

KSS visited the site, compiled field data, performed calculations and discovered the cause of the bouncy floor. Also, through the course of our investigation we discovered another concerning issue pertaining to the roof structure. During a remodel, modifications to the ceiling were made. A previously flat ceiling was made vaulted. To accomplish this the bottom chord of the pre-engineered wood roof trusses was removed and reconfigured. KSS's analysis showed this was unsafe.

KSS provided an expert report including sketches and pictures to illustrate the structural issues present. KSS's report is being utilized in an ongoing legal matter at this time.
